I see therapy as a journey towards deeper self-understanding and greater self-acceptance. It is a safe place where you are encouraged to explore all parts of yourself, connect with your whole self, and live with greater authenticity. Within the framework of our therapeutic relationship, I encourage clients to bring a healthy dose of curiosity and an openness to re-examining familiar patterns through a different lens or from a different angle. I bring this philosophy into my work with individuals, couples, and families. My clinical knowledge is informed by a variety of psychological modalities and evidence based treatments. This enables me to individualize my work to the needs of each client while maintaining the clinical flexibility necessary to adapt to a client's therapeutic needs as they grow and evolve. I have studied and received extensive training in the following therapeutic models and will incorporate Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, and mindfulness into my work with clients. Some common concerns that might lead clients to seek services with me include depression, anxiety, family/relational concerns, trauma, racially and culturally related experiences, and relationship distress.
